Recently I switched dog food brands since we added another dog to our pack, and I wanted to save a little money. In doing this, it caused a tad bit of tummy trouble with our new dog. As you may know, health is one of my main priorities. What I eat, how often I exercise, I even care about the products I use on my skin. For a while I tried two different brands of natural deodorant. Tom’s “Long Lasting” Mountain Spring, and LaVanila’s The Healthy Deodorant Vanilla Passionfruit.
I was given the LaVanila deodorant in exchange for a review on the product. I researched the ingredients, compared it to Tom’s deodorant, and gave my opinion. Each year my husband and I like to purchase apple cider so we can use it for cocktails. If you’ve ever had “Hard Apple Cider” before (dark rum mixed with apple cider), you know how delicious it is. But you also know how sweet it is.
Trying to be on the healthier side, I wanted to make my own apple cider; this way I know there aren’t any preservatives or refined sugar added to it. I went into making it thinking I would sweeten it with honey, but after it was all said and done, it was sweet enough on its own!

Thanksgiving is rapidly approaching. That means my husband will soon want to put up Christmas decorations. And by soon, I mean like, tomorrow.
I feel like our Christmas decorations go up earlier every year.
Although I am hesitant to put our outdoor decorations up until at least the day after Thanksgiving, for fear of being “that family” to the rest of the neighborhood.
Since it’s impossible to avoid the preThanksgiving Christmas decorations while out shopping, I may or may not have bought a few things. Hey, you’ve just got to embrace it.
